How to Register for the Sarasota Conference

For the 2015 conference IT&FA will use the electronic Conference Maker software for submitting registration materials and abstracts, reviewing submissions, and communicating with prospective attendees.   Payments can also be made through Conference Maker’s PayPal system, or submitted directly to the IT&FA office as in past years.   Registration begins November 1, 2014.

  2. Scroll down to the May 17-20, 2015, Silver Jubilee Conference of IT&FA
  3. To register, submit requested information as well as a 1-to-3 page abstract of one or two papers by January 31.    IT&FA will consider panel proposals and proposals for sessions involving three to four papers.  
  4. The Program Committee will review submissions promptly, and if accepted send an email of conditional acceptance by February 15.   The Program Committee will seek to process any submissions received after the January 31 deadline in a timely manner.
  5. Hotel Registration and the Conference Registration Fee are due by April 17.   All presenters are required to stay at the Hyatt Regency Sarasota, unless they have a Sarasota-area residence.   Because April 17 is the deadline for hotel rooms at the discounted conference price ($139), attendees are advised to make hotel reservations early.     

Registration Fee: 

The Registration Fee for the IT&FA Conference in Sarasota is:

 $250.00 US (for those registering and submitting abstracts by January 31, 2015)  

 $300.00 US (after February 1, 2015)

 Payment is due by April 17, 2015

This registration fee covers the opening reception, two lunches, one banquet, coffee breaks, and 2015 membership dues in IT&FA.  Additional tickets for spouses or guests will be available on a limited basis for the opening reception ($30 each), lunches ($30 each) and banquet ($75).   


How to Pay:

Participants are encouraged to make payments using PayPal, accessible through the conference registration site.  

Others wishing to pay IT&FA directly may contact the IT&FA office at for alternative instructions.   IT&FA accepts personal checks drawn on a U.S. bank or Visa and MasterCard (with at least a May 31, 2015, expiration date)   

After April 17, 2015, there will be no refunds.

Deadlines are as follows

November 1, 2014, to January 31, 2015 – Registration and Abstracts submitted via Conference Maker.

February 1, 2015 on - Late fee applies for abstracts submitted from this date 

February 15, 2015 - Notification of Acceptance by this date

April 17, 2015 – Last day for Hotel Registrations at Discounted Conference Rate.   Deadline for submitting conference Registration Fee.  No refunds after this date

May 1, 2015 - session/conference schedule listed online
